BedPosts.org.uk has about 1500 town and city pages on which Joe Public can find serviced accommodation such as hotel, B&B, guest house, inn, self-catering cottage or apartment.

Adverts are listed randomly but in this order of priority:

• First, Business Club members
• Then, free-to-join BedPosts members
• Lastly, Laterooms stock

If you are a free member you may wish to upgrade to Business Class at an annual cost of £50 to enjoy a superior position in the list, to add customer reviews and to enjoy many other benefits besides.

If you advertise, it is a condition that you display one of two BedPosts membership badges on your website. The code for this, available within your advertising account, contains a link to your town page thereby increasing the importance of the page and bringing more Googlers to it. Of course the display of the badge may, of itself, bring more prestige to your website.

Setting live your advert, plus accompanying brochure page, is a self-explanatory 5-stage process:

• Contact details
• Upload photos of your establishment
• Give a description of your establishment
• Position your map marker
• Add the BedPosts badge to your website

When a green tick appears against each of these categories your advert can be set live. Note that you can also set it offline if circumstances so dictate.
